“In the short-run it is not easy to distinguish between luck and skill, but in the longer-run you can be sure that the trade floor is one of the most meritocratic institutions in the corporate world”.

Are you curious about energy trading and do you want to learn more about the dynamic and diverse environment energy traders work in?

Two energy traders from Gazprom’s London office will speak at the University of Groningen’s Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), to tell you everything about their experience in energy trading. After a successful seminar last year, we are excited to welcome them back in Groningen!

Read this personal story from one of the trading analysts as a little sneak peek. And find out that a surprisingly large share of trading is still done on the back of human intervention!

This seminar on Energy Trading is organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) and the Centre for Energy Economics Research (CEER).

*Note: Some knowledge about commodity trading and derivatives is required

It is defined as an Energy Learning Activity for students of the Hanze UAS and the University of Groningen. Students are invited to attend as many Energy Learning Activities as they want, at all stages of their education. Energy Learning Activities are part of the Energy Academy Europe Certificate. If students follow 10 Energy Learning Activities and also complete 30 ECTS in energy courses at Hanze UAS or the University of Groningen, they are eligible for obtaining the EAE Certificate.
